WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR RESPONSIBLE GAMING.
Since its founding in 1996, the ICRG has launched a field of study to explore gambling disorder and responsible gambling and has funded some of the most important research in the US and around the world.
The ICRG is inspired by the mission to help individuals and families affected by gambling disorder through first-class research and evidence-based education programs. Research will lead us to effective prevention and treatment of gambling disorder.
Announcing the International Center for Responsible Gaming
Since 1996, the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) has been a U.S. organization focused on launching a field of study to explore gambling disorder. The NCRG has successfully established a rigorous and thriving field designed to further our mission of helping individuals and families affected by gambling disorder through first-class research and evidence-based education programs. However, gambling is a worldwide phenomenon and some of the most important research is being conducted outside of US borders. In order to meet the needs of a global field, the NCRG leadership has reset the NCRG’s compass to expand the boundaries of its work. On January 1, 2020, the NCRG will become the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG). We hope that the globalization of the work and mission of the ICRG will result in an even more energetic field of research aimed at reducing gambling-related harms worldwide.
