14th Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week: “Know the Odds”

The National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) and the American Gaming Association (AGA) are committed to public education opportunities regarding responsible gaming.  Both the NCRG and the AGA are busy ramping up for the 14th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), which is being held August 1-5.  This year’s theme, “Know the Odds,” will build off last year’s successful effort to “take the mystery out of the slot machine” by focusing on educating casino employees and patrons about the odds of all the games available in a casino.

NCRG Conference: Raising Awareness – Making the Most of Responsible Gaming Education Weeks

The 11th annual NCRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction moved to the Las Vegas Convention Center yesterday where Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the premier trade show and conference event for the international gaming entertainment industry, is currently taking place. During a session yesterday morning, a panel made up of industry operators and manufactures and a state association representative discussed ways to make the most of responsible gaming awareness weeks.

Responsible Gaming Education Week Begins Today

Today is the start of the 13th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW), a joint program of the American Gaming Association (AGA) and National Center for Responsible Gaming.  This year’s theme is “Taking the Mystery Out of the Machine,” and activities are focused on educating casino employees and the public about how slot machines and other casino games work and aims to correct some of the misconceptions about them.
